Bethesda wants to remind you they're making the kinds of games you like

Single-player, no microtransactions!

This year has seen a lot of perfectly justified outrage and pushback from gamers on "multiplayer creep" (where games that ought to have a single-player mode just... don't), loot boxes (are they gambling? We think so!), and micro-transactions (how much money can they squeeze out of us?).

Along comes Bethesda with a new ad in which Top Boss Lynda Carter reminds us that Bethesda is chugging along, putting out the good kinds of games. The kinds of games you DON'T hate. Single-player games with no loot crates and no micro-transactions. How about that?

As a thank you to its fans, and as a nudge to ask you to support the kinds of things you like, Bethesda is having a huge sale on all of its titles this weekend. Games like Dishonored 2: Death of the Outsider, Fallout 4, Skyrim for Nintendo Switch, and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus are on deep discounts. Snatch up any titles you don't already own - you won't be sorry!
